Super healthy green smoothie


This morning I was feeling really run down after a crazy month (or two) of non-stop social engagements, so decided to make a smoothie from all of the healthiest ingredients in my fridge. And it turned out to be DELICIOUS!! Not only did it taste good but I also felt energised, hydrated and ready to take on the week. And it’s not hard to understand why when you look at the list of ingredients:

  • Spinach

  • Kale

  • Celery

  • Lemon

  • Nuts

  • Coconut water and a little filtered water

  • Apple

  • Banana

  • Cinnamon

  • Almonds

A combination of super foods, fresh fruits, nuts and greens, this smoothie is packed full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals to boost your energy and increase vitality. There’s even some Folate (a B vitamin) in the kale to help with brain development – always a good way to start the week!!

The thing I love most about smoothies is that you can just grab whatever fruit and veg you have in the fridge or cupboard and simply throw everything into a blender. I love to try out different flavour combinations and always discover new fresh flavours that I love. Now they don’t ALWAYS work out, but this one certainly did and made me feel amazing afterwards.
